General

The Pansori Approach is linked to the rapid changes that transform our world. Much of this change has been influenced and caused by discoveries in physics, technology and natural science. New insights that are based on the empirical study of the mind have transformed philosophy. The development and application of information technology has changed communication patterns. New approaches to human growth and changes in religion and spirituality have changed the way we look at human beings.

These developments are complemented by profound changes in how we see society and by the dazzling new ways in which we live our lives and structure our destinies. The effects of these changes have not been the same worldwide, but their influence is global. The many movements that concern itself with change over the past years testify of this new reality and worldview.

The Pansori Approach has grown out of 30 years of practical work carried out by Meth Medura Foundation in the Netherlands. Members of Meth Medura were active in various movements for change and combined personal growth and political activity. Her training programs have shaped the protests against nuclear arms and nuclear energy in Europe. She developed innovative ways for healing and inner strength. She developed courses on women's awareness and faced issues around race and class while the Meth Medura community was involved in refugee care.

The resulting Pansori Approach has been enriched by experiences in all those fields. Careful reflection and research based on these experiences has guided the emergence of an integrated approach for human development and healing.
The Pansori Approach covers four levels of human existence: the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual/social level (P.E.M.S. levels). The health and well being of a person are reflected in these four levels.

The Pansori Approach can be applied to diverse areas, like education, community building, health care and social change.

One of the fields to which Pansori has been successfully applied is the field of trauma.
